Looking to the Heavens

It has been two years since we began our Faith & Family campaign that originally included 80 trailers wrapped in colorful vinyl graphics featuring 4 scenes that showcase family moments and activities.

These 4 scenes included a father teaching his daughter to ride a bike, a husband and wife enjoying a walk in nature, a two boys with their dad on a fishing trip, and a family gathered around a fire at their camping site.

We knew we had something really special going with these trailers and this campaign, so we added 30 more trailers last year with a picture of a family horseback riding before a beautiful sunset.

Now, I’m excited to shareour newest addition to the Faith & Family series of trailers.

This new scene, titled “Stars Over Corona,” features a father and son beneath a brilliant night sky in a magnificent and awe-inspiring setting at Corona Arch in Utah. I feel this scene positively portrays the values of both “Faith” and “Family” by sharing quality father/son time, and also by sharing that time in awe and wonder of God’s creation and looking to “the heavens.”

We’re looking forward to having 30 of these new trailers rolling out between May and June, so keep an eye out for them in the coming weeks and months!

The Impact of Sharing Our Values

In the two years these trailers have been on the road, we’ve received countless messages and phone calls in appreciation of a Faith & Family message. These messages have come from customer facilities, drivers, industry peers, and particularly the motoring public, who may have no other association with trucking or transportation at all.

Our primary goal and purpose in carrying out this campaign was simply to share our company values and impact the lives of people who read our message. We felt a higher call to share these values, and the tremendous show of support has been overwhelming and humbling evidence that we are going the right direction.

I’d like to share a touching story from one of our drivers along with a few other notes we’ve received over the last couple of years.

This first story comes from one of our drivers, Kevin W.:

I was hauling a trailer that has a picture of the dad with his daughter on the bike. I had pulled into a truck stop in Indiana, and was out of the cab when a pickup swung around in front of me. I thought this was a bit unusual since you don’t see many four wheelers in the parking area of the truck stop.

The driver was an older gentleman. He lowered his window and said ‘hey sir.’

I walked to his window and he asked if he could take a picture of the side of the trailer.
I said sure, but I charged a dollar per picture! He laughed with me and told me a story that brought tears to my eyes.

To make a longer story short, he told me that he had just recently lost four members of his family in a car accident. When he saw our trailer, he turned around to follow me into the truck stop in order to get a picture. Seeing the girl and dad together caught his attention and touched his heart as well.

He said it was one of his last memories of his son and granddaughter before they died.

The Impact Our Trailers Have Had On Others:

On my way to work on Interstate 55 this morning I saw one of your trucks with a scene of a family camping along with the words ‘Faith and Family’ on the side.I would like to offer my congratulations for promoting the traditional values that our great country was built on. I wish more companies would take this stance and not be afraid to stand up for what they believe in.

I Just drove past a local business here in Weston, WI. One of your trucks was sitting in their parking lot. “Faith and Family” caught my eye, so I looked you up. Wow, your mission, vision, values - beautiful! I read just a couple lines, and said I need to email these folks. I now just read your words completely and it brought me to tears of joy. To see a business share their beliefs so openly, how wonderful. Your employees and all you serve are surely very grateful to be associated with a great Christian business. God bless you. May your mission, etc. bring many to Christ.

As a resident of Normal, Illinois, I have had the opportunity to see your ‘Faith & Family’ trailers on numerous occasions. As such, I must say that they are a welcome sight. They are beautifully done, aesthetically pleasing, and most importantly they remind me of what is truly important in life. As a father of two beautiful young daughters, the image depicting the father attempting to teach his young daughter to ride a bicycle is especially meaningful to me. I just wanted to thank you for doing this campaign.

We were traveling back to Baton Rouge From Houston after an appointment with a cancer doctor there when we passed your truck... emblazoned with a can’t-miss-it message of faith and hope across the trailer. We felt uplifted and encouraged in the Lord. Thanks for being who you are!

I saw one of your trailers today that had ‘Faith and Family’ written on the side of it and it brought a smile to my face - enough to draw me to your website and research your company a bit more.
It is very refreshing to see a company dedicated to God and doing His work. So with that I thank you and wish you a blessed day in the Lord.

Just saw one of your trucks with “Celebrating Faith & Family” plastered on the side. Loved it, so I went to your website and saw the link for Faith and read the page.
I just wanted to say thank you for your openness about your faith in this culture we’re operating in. It’s encouraging to know we’re not alone. May God bless and multiply your business and influence in the community.

I could continue on sharing numerous  examples of messages and phone calls expressing the same appreciation. Our company Mission and Vision states that “We wish to honor God by impacting the lives of our employees, vendors, customers, and community… We want to improve the lives of each person we interact with… Regardless the type of interaction, we want others to be in a better place for having done business with our company.”

The impact truly has been great, and I believe God is being honored through this message.
